Deployment region refers to where the AirNode operates, not necessarily where its owner lives. Some AirNodes are specifically designed for remote ownership. Prices and availability can change between deployment rounds.

What Does Remote AirNode Ownership Mean?
Remote AirNode ownership means that you can own an AirNode without personally installing or operating the telecom infrastructure at its deployment location.
The exact arrangement depends on the model. With EmberNode, for example, the infrastructure operates in Pakistan while the owner can live elsewhere. Engineers handle the physical deployment, while the platform manages deployment, connectivity and network operations. The remote owner is not expected to install or manage the hardware in the field.
The infrastructure belongs to the AirNode owner.
Physical deployment does not have to take place where the owner lives.
Status, usage, performance and rewards can be followed remotely.
Remote does not mean virtual
An AirNode is still physical infrastructure serving a real network. Remote ownership simply separates ownership from the need to be physically present at the deployment site.

How Do EmberNode Rewards Work?
EmberNode uses a traffic-based reward model. Rewards are linked to verified network traffic carried by the AirNode rather than a guaranteed fixed return.
Reward models differ between AirNode types. Spark currently uses a fixed monthly reward, while Frontier combines a fixed base reward with additional reward layers designed to develop as the network grows.

Frontier is a Wi-Fi AirNode supporting World Mobile’s commercial rollout in the Philippines. Frontier AirNodes are associated with connected customer locations and operated on the ground, while ownership can be managed remotely.

World Mobile describes Pulse as its first energy infrastructure node.
